Join us on Tuesday, January 14th at 7:00 PM for A Soldier’s Journey, an inspiring story of a Georgia soldier's heroic experiences in war-torn France during World War II. Presented by journalist and writer Tom Gordon, the event delves into the bravery, resilience, and connections formed amidst the chaos of war.

Tom Gordon, based in Birmingham, Alabama, has reported extensively on southern politics, culture, and international affairs for prominent publications including The Birmingham News, The Anniston Star, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Fluent in French, with a deep affinity for France and its culture, Gordon brings unique insights into this compelling narrative.

Gordon will tell the harrowing true story of a young man from Atlanta who, upon his graduation from Emory University and a brief stab at professional baseball, is drafted and finds himself on the battlefields of North Africa, Corsica and southern France.  That soldier's name...Tom Gordon, the presenter's father.
