September’s Homeschool Day: Georgia's Prehistoric Past

Join us for a special homeschool event focused on Georgia’s Prehistoric Past. This exciting day features a variety of interactive, hands-on activities designed to educate and engage students of all ages.
The Paleontology Association of Georgia will present a special program on Georgia’s Prehistoric Past.
Hands-on stations include an archaeology table dig, mapping your ancestry’s migration, making fossil imprints, and pottery reconstruction. From the archives, we’ll be bringing out special prehistoric artifacts not usually on display and you can try to guess the mystery artifact for a chance to win free admission to our next Homeschool Day.
Additional features include a scavenger hunt, a demonstration by the Georgia Mountain Fiber Arts Guild, and a paid craft option of a fossil dig kit.
Homeschool Days are designed for flexibility and fun! Families are free to explore each station at their own pace, with the option to attend a scheduled special program. You're welcome to bring a packed lunch and enjoy it in our Amphitheater. All ages are welcome, and high school students looking to earn volunteer hours are encouraged to join us as volunteers as well.
