Join us for The Revolutionary War Community Day, in collaboration with the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Admission starts at 10am, followed shortly by introductory remarks by local and state DAR Regents and our Director of Education in the Founders Hall. At 11 and 12:30, there will be a presentation on General Lafayette in the Education Center Room. At 11:45, a demonstration by the SAR will begin in the Outdoor Amphitheater.
Throughout the event, there will be SAR reenactors at the White Path Cabin, who will answer questions and talk about life during the American Revolution. Next to the Cabin, there will be an ongoing live demonstration in the Blacksmith Shop. There will be a Story Jar and Georgia During the Revolution Display in the Founders Hall, as well as Old Fashioned Toys and Games. Additionally, there will be a special Revolutionary themed craft activity in the Hall.
