This September, young pioneers can experience the monumental history of the February 1733 landing at Yamacraw Bluff at the History Center! This immersive and multi-sensory learning experience will tell the story of how General James Oglethorpe, Chief Tomochichi, and cultural translator Mary Musgrove forged a legendary alliance that completely transformed the wild wilderness to make international colonial history.
Throughout the day, students will get to meet General Ogelthorpe and rotate through dynamic, hands-on "History Hubs" designed to highlight the founding of Georgia as an epic story of teamwork, survival, and intercultural diplomacy.
